Here in Vermit there are several signs of spring:
1. Mud season (caused by melting snow and ground)
2. Taking down the snow fences
3. Sap buckets on maple trees
For me a sure sign of spring is the return of the ospreys to the Sandbar (the strip of land that connects 'mainland' Vermit with the Islands). Today was the day. There was much Catty rejoicing when I drove past the nest stands and saw an osprey perched on one of them.
Spring is here - time to get Edward finished!
