This standard baby hat pattern is incredibly adaptable for any yarn, needle, or size - I've made it with and without the eyelet row, out of wool, cotton, and novelty yarns, chunky or fingering weights, on straights or circs. Right now, I'm averaging one hat a day and using up some remnants while I'm at it. Try it, you might like it.
